Stop the Bleed
Stop the Bleed is a nationwide program designed to empower civilian bystanders to act quickly and save lives.
Designed by a world-class team of government and health care individuals following the events at Sandy Hook Elementary, this group created a protocol to enhance survivorability in the event of a mass casualty. The resulting injuries from these events generally present with severe bleeding which, if left unattended, can result in death.
The ÌýÌýprogramÌýidentified simple techniques that have been developed to have a big impact on saving lives, similar to the memorable techniques taught for CPR or the Heimlich maneuver.Ìý
