Led by experts in vascular and plastic surgery, our team works with Stanford specialists in infectious diseases, dermatology, and orthopaedics to help you properly manage and heal chronic wounds.

We provide access to state-of-the-art equipment for outpatient clinical wound care and advanced treatment options.

Care and Treatment of Chronic Wounds

Conditions Treated

When a wound does not heal or respond to standard treatment in 30 days, we consider it chronic.

We treat the following types of chronic wounds:

  • Advanced peripheral artery disease
  • Bone infections, like osteomyelitis
  • Complications of poor circulation, like gangrene or necrosis
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Leg ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Surgical wounds
  • Tissue damaged from radiation therapy or chemotherapy
  • Venous stasis ulcers
