During Patient Experience (PX) Week, the Community Health & Partnerships (CH&P) proudly hosted a table at the PX Week Fair hosted at SHC in Palo Alto, where staff members and visitors came together to assemble 200 hygiene kits for unhoused community members served by Sunnyvale Community Services. Each kit included essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, and hairbrushes, along with a handwritten note of encouragement to uplift recipients. PX Week is an annual celebration that honors the healthcare staff who impact patient experiences every day. This week brings together nurses, physicians, support staff, and the communities they serve to celebrate the collective commitment to improving patient care. Observed annually beginning the final Monday in April, PX Week aims to unite healthcare organizations worldwide in their mission to enhance patient experiences. Through initiatives like this hygiene kit assembly, we showcase our commitment to compassion and support for our most vulnerable community members, as SHC staff eagerly participate in community service opportunities and demonstrate their generosity to help those in need.
